SWIMMING:
Mitchell Selby placed 3RD at the State Swim Meet in the 100 Back and 4th in the 100 Fly
Preston Selby placed 7th at the State Swim Meet in the 200 Free and 13th in the 100 Breast
TRACK:
Regionals- 13 athletes competed. 8 medalist from regionals. 3 State Qualifiers Girls pole vault Sam Perry 2nd, Ashton Danker 3rd, Kim Lanier 6th, 4 X 800 relay Katey Luster, Darcy McTiernan, Lydia Messiah, Caele Pemberton 5th. Boys pole vault Gary Lalli 5th.

CONGRATULATIONS Joe Epperson!! He placed 4th in Foreign Extemporaneous (FX) Speaking at the State Speech and Debate Tournament this past weekend. FX is an event where a student is given a question about foreign affairs and has thirty minutes to create a speech to answer the question. Students can only use what evidence they bring with them and their brains. Speeches must be at least four minutes long but no longer than seven. It is a VERY difficult event. Questions can range from Haiti to Taiwan to Iraq and even Kyrgyzstan.
CONGRATS!! CJ Blackwell and Destiny Cherry for their participation in the Foreign Extemporaneous (FX) Speaking at the State Speech and Debate
They received Outstanding scores (equivalent of a II) and
received Runner Up in their division at their contest/trip this weekend.
It was a VERY intimidating venue to perform in, and they did very well !!
Lydia Bradford and Maria Marcos-CONGRATULATIONS!
They both received "Superior" (I) ratings at the State Orchestra Contest!
This is the highest rating there is for OSSAA. They both did absolutely amazing!!
WAY TO GO Carson McKinstry-He received an Excellent (II) rating at the State Solo contest!!
CONGRATULATIONS to TIM HARDICK, Sophomore, who has been competing in several Interscholastic Competitions at various colleges. He has qualified to go to State Academic Competition in Algebra II, Chemistry, and Computer Science which is the High School Tournament of Champions Competition held May 7-8, 2010 at OSU-OKC. This is how he placed in the competition:
