Oklahoma State University - 20th Century U.S. History - 2005 - Master of Arts

Oklahoma State University - Educational Leadership and Policy Studies - Higher Education Administration - PhD Candidate

This is my 21st year in education and the third charter school I have worked at.  I also taught 7.5 years at the university level.  I am really enjoy teaching US History since I have been a grader/reader for APUSH Exam the past six years.

I was born in Honduras but was adopted and grew up in the OKC Area.  I moved to the Houston Area during high school and attended Baylor University for my undergraduate degree.  I then moved back to Oklahoma to attend Oklahoma State University for my Master's degree.  I decided to go back to school three years ago to pursue a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with specific study in Higher Education Administration.  I passed my Comprehensive Exam in the Spring of 2020 to become a PhD Candidate.  As of the Fall 2021 Semester all I have left is to collect data and write the final two chapters.  My topic will deal with how to help student veterans be more accepted and supported so they can finish their degrees.

I am married to my wife of almost 17 years and have twin seven year old girls.  They keep me busy but I would not trade it for the world.  Unfortunately we lost out basset hound named Daisy this past summer.  This was one of my favorite pics with her.
